[FRAME] Chapter Two

Flwrider brings you the 2nd video in our Bi-weekly [FRAME] interviews series, featuring up-close interviews with some of cycling’s most creative characters.

We catch up with Stijn Deferm, founder of Stijn Cycles, on his recent trip to Hong Kong to support the HK/Shenzhen Biennale which has helped bring cycling to the public eye.

An ex-Downhill mountain bike champion and having won the Belgium National downhill mountain bike championship 3 times, Stijn tells us about his biking/racing background, past projects and getting in/working in the bike industry for well over 10 years.

With so many generic bikes and brands emerging now, we ask him about his latest venture in building a strong bike brand, the fascination with going back to steel frames, using hi-end Columbus steel tubing and bringing back the old art of fillet brazing and using them in his Stijn Cycles.
