“Teddy Yip. From Macau to the World and Back”
Mr. Teddy Yip has always been and will always be recognised as one of the most iconic figures from the Macau Grand Prix scene, not only racing himself but having been the first Chinese Formula One team owner (Theodore Racing). He also supported and helped to develop some of the greatest drivers of all time including Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen. Indeed our own Executive Vice Chairman, Mr. Herbert Adamczyk, raced for Teddy Yip in the 1970s and recorded a number of fine victories and podium places for him on Macau’s Guia circuit.
Dr. Philip Newsome, a renowned Hong Kong-based motor sport author, has recently written a book entitled, “Teddy Yip. From Macau to the World and Back”. This includes detailed descriptions of the achievements of Mr. Yip over many years both in Macau and across the international motor sport scene.
