只是一個提醒，5月16日星期三晚是｢沉默的騎行｣。

這是第七年我們一起踏單車；我們將記念去年在香港死去的20位騎單車者；可悲的是，這是有史以來最糟糕的數字，幾乎每六位在道路上死亡者就有一位，是一個可怕及上升中的比例，更甚的是正當其他道路使用者的死亡數字已經下降。另外，騎單車人仕受傷也比以往任何時候都更多。

當我們騎行時，我們也將安靜地要求使香港改變成為一個更安全、更適合踏單車的地方：得到所有道路使用者的尊重、政府對使用單車的明確支持、在運輸和城市規劃中得到應有的考慮。

Just a reminder that this Wednesday evening, 16 May, is the Ride of Silence.

This is the seventh year we’ve cycled together, and we will be remembering 20 cyclists who died in Hong Kong last year. Sadly, this is the worst figure ever, and represents almost one in every six road deaths, a terrible, rising proportion, even as other road user fatalities are down. More cyclists than ever before were injured too.

As we ride, we’ll also be quietly calling for change to make Hong Kong is a safer, better place to ride a bike: respect among all road users; clear support for cycling from government; consideration in transport and urban planning.

Meet: 7.15pm, Wednesday 16 May
Clock Tower, Tsim Sha Tsui promenade
bring your bike, with lights.

There will be a short address and remembrance ceremony, and then we ride gently to Sham Shui Po, and back.
